Rou Gui Oolong Tea
Rou Gui (traded in English as Cinnamon) is a grade of oolong tea from Pinghe (Zhangzhou), Anxi (Quanzhou) and Wuyishan (Nanping), Fujian. Cassia-note cultivar. Within oolong tea the grade is set by cultivar, origin and finishing, so the contract must name it exactly and add moisture, roast or smoke where relevant, the residue standard by destination and packing. ODM Tea quotes Rou Gui against a written specification, with the producer and its relationship to ODM Tea named in the quotation.

Where does Rou Gui sit in the oolong tea range?
Oolong Tea is offered in five grades; Rou Gui is listed fourth (grade origin: Wuyishan rock). Grade names fix pluck and origin; the cup is then decided by finishing, which the contract must state.

What must a Rou Gui contract specify?
Beyond the code Rou Gui itself: the grade origin (Wuyishan rock), moisture at or below 7.0%, a broken-and-fannings ceiling, the residue standard named by destination jurisdiction — for Russia that is EAEU TR CU 021/2011 and TR CU 022/2011, the packing net weight and the Incoterm. Finishing decides the cup once pluck and origin are fixed, so roast, smoke or scenting rounds belong in the contract where they apply. Residue is the clause that stops containers at destination and the one most often left generic.
