Jasmine tea is graded by how many times the base tea is scented with fresh jasmine blossom — the scenting round, or yin. Fuzhou is the reference origin: Fujian ranks first in China for scented tea exports, and Fuzhou jasmine tea alone exports roughly 1,500 tonnes a year for about USD 13 million.
