Lapsang Souchong Black Tea
Lapsang Souchong is a grade of black tea from Tongmu (Wuyishan) and Fu'an, Fujian. Unsmoked and pine-smoked versions; specify at order. Within black tea the grade is set by cultivar, origin and finishing, so the contract must name it exactly and add moisture, roast or smoke where relevant, the residue standard by destination and packing. Beyond the code Lapsang Souchong itself: the grade origin (Tongmu, Wuyishan), moisture at or below 7.0%, a broken-and-fannings ceiling, the residue standard named by destination jurisdiction — for Russia that is EAEU TR CU 021/2011 and TR CU 022/2011, the packing net weight and the Incoterm. Finishing decides the cup once pluck and origin are fixed, so roast, smoke or scenting rounds belong in the contract where they apply. Residue is the clause that stops containers at destination and the one most often left generic.
