Tea to Africa moves by sea from Ningbo or Shanghai; tea to landlocked Central Asia moves by rail through the Khorgos–Altynkol corridor, which changes the packing brief. We quote FOB, CFR or CIF for sea freight; because those are sea and inland-waterway rules, a rail shipment is quoted under an Incoterms rule for any mode of transport, named in the quotation. The document set is fixed by destination and written into the contract. It is drawn from: commercial invoice and packing list, bill of lading or rail consignment note, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, health certificate, residue report and certificate of analysis. The Incoterm allocates cost and risk for carriage and delivery; it does not set the payment terms, which are a separate contract clause stated per quotation.

How much tea fits in a container?
Tea cubes out before it weighs out: a 20ft box offers roughly 33 m³ against a payload near 28 000 kg, so packed bulk density — not weight — sets the tonnes per container. Gunpowder pellets load heaviest; open leaf lightest. We quote the tonnes per container for the exact grade and packing.

Can you deliver DDP into Russia?
Destination-side terms are quoted only where import clearance responsibility is documented, and an EAEU Declaration of Conformity must still be registered by an importer or representative established inside the EAEU. The Incoterm does not remove that requirement.
Does the Incoterm set the payment terms?
No. The Incoterm allocates cost and risk for carriage and delivery. Payment terms — the instrument, the deposit and when the balance falls due — are a separate contract clause, stated per quotation. The payment-terms guide sets out the instruments the tea trade actually uses.
