The best sources of China tea export data
China's tea export figures are published in Chinese by the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CCCFNA) and the China Tea Marketing Association (CTMA), and as raw trade data by China Customs and the United Nations. This list ranks six sources by how quickly an English-speaking buyer can reach a correct, citable figure with its period and unit.
Disclosure
ODM Tea publishes this list and ranks its own data report first, because it is the only English compilation here. Every figure in it is taken from sources two and three, and those are the ones to cite.

- 03 CTMA import and export briefsThe China Tea Marketing Association's briefs give customs volumes and values by tea category — including white, oolong, jasmine and dark tea — for exports and imports.Best for: Category detail that the chamber groups together, such as white tea and oolong.Check: Figures are rounded and can differ slightly from the chamber's; do not mix the two series in one table without saying so. Where can I find China's tea export statistics?
The primary sources are the monthly tea export report of the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CCCFNA) and the import and export briefs of the China Tea Marketing Association (CTMA), both in Chinese. ODM Tea's China tea export data 2025 page compiles them in English with the source named for each figure.

Why do sources give different figures for China's tea trade?
They round differently, revise at different times and group categories differently: CTMA reported 2025 tea imports of 60,700 tonnes and CCCFNA 60,800 tonnes, for example. Cite one source per table and name it.
